6 - 8年级
The program aims to teach long term Spanish language skills. Classes meet daily and utilize an online text which makes available a number of audio, video and interactive features conducive to learning a foreign language.
This program is interactive Spanish instruction that blends fun activities, songs, and games. Students learn how to count, 学习词汇, 一周中的几天, 一年中的几个月, colors and simple Spanish verbs.
Students get to experience different types of media at all grades level. They are introduced to the history and techniques of various 艺术ists and create 艺术 in the style of those 艺术ists. Middle school 艺术 students also research 艺术ists of their choice and have the chance to use the 艺术ist's techniques. All students are offered opportunities to enter school, local and state 艺术 contests. Each year, one student's design is chosen for the cover of our school 音乐al's program. 最后, every year a student is chosen as the "艺术 Student of the Year" and one of their pieces is framed and displayed in the school library.
Throughout a student's career at St. Petronille, they have the opportunity to sing, 执行, 播放录音机, and study 音乐 theory and 音乐 history. Preparation and p艺术icipation at our weekly school Mass are a focus at all grade levels.
Physical Education and 健康

Students learn how to compete in a variety of games utilizing sportsmanship and Christian values. Examples of games include tennis, in line skating, basketball, and floor hockey.
Students visit our school library each week. The goal of our library program is to encourage reading amongst our students. A p艺术-time librarian and parent volunteers assist students in selecting books that challenge their reading abilities. A variety of reading/learning activities including technology applications are p艺术 of the students library time.
技术 is an important p艺术 of our curriculum at St. Petronille. We believe it provides the tools necessary to help increase our students' critical thinking, 以及, to foster collaboration with other students both inside and beyond the classroom. Students are expected to meet grade level technology standards and leave SPS as responsible, 技术使用者.
2 - 4年级
Beginning in Grade 2, we require our students to take a computer class. Our dedicated technology instructor teaches concepts such as keyboarding, computer and network operations, 计算机编程, and internet research and safety. 除了, we give our students hands on experience with key software programs like Powerpoint, Excel, Word和Publisher. By Grade 4, we are integrating Lego robotics into the curriculum.
In grade 5, we introduce Chromebooks into the classroom. These devices are used primarily to complement the in-class teaching and learning of English, 阅读, 及社会研究. This introductory period allows students to gain a level of familiarity with the devices prior to being issued their own device in 6年级.
6 - 8年级
Each student in 6 - 8年级 is issued a Chromebook or Lenovo tablet to be used both within and outside the classroom at St. Petronille. The tablets are used for reading subject content (textbooks), 笔记, conducting class projects, 给老师发邮件, and handing in homework to their teachers. We believe such a program prepares students for the next level of their education.
Support for the tablet program is provided by a full-time Director of 技术, who also assists the classroom teachers with technology integration.
St. Petronille Parish School offers school families an 延长日课程 designed to provide each child with a safe and enjoyable environment before or after school. This program is very flexible and can be used on a day-to-day basis, periodically through the week or in emergency situations.
Our general extended day schedule is as follows:
- Monday - Friday Mornings: 7:00-8:00AM
- 下午: 3:15-6:00 pm - inside and outside activities
- Other activities, study time and computer Lab weekly
